Local Scholarships  for college and technical schools are posted on the scholarship page.  Watch the Deadlines!  Most are before May 1st!  Winners will be announced at graduation not awards night this year.

 

College Readiness Checklist

 - Have you applied?  Most Colleges use http://www.applytexas.org    see Mrs. Lyon or Mrs. Drake if you need help.

 

 - Have you applied for financial  aid? Fill out the free form for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible.  You will not be able to receive scholarships or any type of aid if this application is not submitted to the college. We have a workshop on April 23rd to help you.  See the event Flyer.    

 

- Have you taken the TSI-A or verified exemption?   If you are going to community college or a university, you must take or meet exemption requirements.   NZISD will pay for you to test.  Test date is April 24th at Blinn and a TSI Study Bootcamp is  April 15th!  See Mrs. Lyon ASAP!

 

- PSAT/SAT  and ACT Scores need to be updated on graduation plans logs, please give Mrs. Lyon a copy of your score reports.    If you have not taken a test - SEE Mrs. Lyon ASAP!!!!! We could have the fees waived.

 

- Have you appled for scholarships?  Visit the scholarship webpage for more details and due dates!

 

 - Transcripts will be available in early May for you to review. Class rank will be off 5th Six Weeks which ends on April 17th.  Mrs. Lyon will speak with you about this before May 1.

Military Readiness Checklist

 - Have you met with a recruiter?

-  Have you taken ASVAB?  It is a test to determine suitable careers in the military.  See Mrs. Lyon for testing dates in May at NZISD!

 

 

 Graduation is June 6th!
